Wheat Chocolate chip cookies is a healthier version of the classic chocolate chip cookies. Yes! they are made of wheat flour instead of the all-purpose flour. These wheat chocolate chip cookies are fairly simple to make, need a few, quite basic ingredients and are ready in a few minutes. The fact that they are made of wheat flour, allows you to indulge in them with a guilt free mind 🙂

Below is a step by step procedure with pictures for making these healthy and crunchy wheat chocolate chip cookies
Makes : 15 cookies
Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: 10 minutes
Ingredients:
Sugar : 1/2 cup
Brown sugar : 1/2 cup
Unsalted Butter : 1/2 cup (softened)
Oil : 2 tbsp
Vanilla essence : 3/4th tsp
Egg :1
Whole Wheat Flour : 1.5 cups
Baking Soda : 1 tsp
Chocolate Chips : 1/3rd cup
Salt : a pinch
Method of Preparation:
- Add the sugars, Butter, Oil, Vanilla Essence in a large bowl and mix.
- Add the egg and mix well.
- Add in the wheat flour, baking soda and salt and mix till you get a dough.
- Add in the chocolate chips to the dough.
- Divide the dough into 15 circular portions. Gently flatten each portion with your palm.
- Preheat oven to 190 deg cel and bake for 10 min. Refer note below.
- Remove the cookies from the oven, they will be soft, especially the centers – and that is fine as they will harden later. Cool on a wire rack.
Note : The baking time may differ based on the size of the oven and the number of cookies you are baking in one batch. I keep just 5-6 cookies in each batch and they get done in 10 min. If your oven is larger and you are putting in more cookies, you may need to keep it for a few minutes more.

- Add the egg and mix well.
- Add in the wheat flour, baking soda and salt and mix till you get a dough.
- Add in the chocolate chips to the dough.
- Divide the dough into 15 circular portions. Gently flatten each portion with your palm.
