Avocado Deviled Eggs is a healthy and tasty appetizer which is very easy to make and gets ready quite quickly. It is a perfect recipe to combine two very healthy ingredients – Eggs and Avocado.
Avocado and Eggs are two favorites in my house. Both these food items are known for the tremendous health benefits they offer. I have already used these two in combination in Avocado Egg Sandwich which I had posted some days back. I feel the two blend very well together and this was my second attempt at using them together in a recipe.
Avocado Deviled Eggs is a perfect recipe combining the two. You can serve it as an appetizer or it can be eaten as a snack. It is very easy to make too and yet something tasty and different.
Here is the step by step recipe for Avocado Deviled Eggs with pictures:
Serves: 2-3
Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: 10 minutes
Ingredients:
Eggs: 6
Avocado: 1 ripe peeled and pitted
Lemon Juice: 1 and 1/2 tsp
Mayonnaise: 3 tbsp
Mustard Powder: 1/4 tsp
Salt: to taste
Mixed herbs: As required
Method of Preparation:
- Boil eggs and cut them into two pieces vertically. Separate the egg white and egg yolk.
- Mix egg yolk and all the other ingredients together except herbs and beat to make a smooth mixture.
- Put a portion of the mixture in the egg white. I used an icing bag to pipe the mixture into the egg white.
- Sprinkle herbs as required over the eggs and serve.
