Avocado Puree: An avocado is smooth and creamy when mashed and hence is a perfect new food for babies.
Avocado is called super food because of the large number of health benefits it offers. They are rich in mono saturated fatty acids which have many benefits. It also is a rich source of fiber. Hence it is an ideal first food for babies.

Here is the step by step recipe for Carrot Puree with pictures:
Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Ingredients:
Avocado: 1 ripe
Method of Preparation:
- Wash, pit and slice the avocado.
- Scoop out the flesh of the avocado with a spoon.
- Puree in a blender or food processor until smooth.
- Add breast milk or formula to thin it out as much as required.
- If your baby is past the stage of pureed foods and has moved to chunkier food, you can just mash the avocado with a fork instead of pureeing it.
Note: It is important to follow the 3 day rule for introducing any new foods. i.e when starting any new food, continue feeding the same food for 3 days to check for any allergic reactions. Only on the 4th day, you can introduce new food item.
