Baked Samosa is the healthier version of the traditional samosas which are generally loved by all. This recipe for baked samosa is made using a square spring roll pastry sheet. In this recipe I have explained how to make the stuffing, fold the samosa and bake it in the oven. I have used ready made pastry sheets here for the outer cover of the samosa.
Samosas are a perfect tea time snack specially when guests come over for tea. However, considering that samosas are deep fried, I am usually not too keen on getting samosas very often. I avoid deep fried food and those who have already read the Baked French Fries post a few days back would already be knowing that. Making healthier versions of the junk or unhealthy food is a new challenge for me right now. I started with making wheat cookies with jaggery for my daughter as a healthier version of the maida cookies. Then recently I also made wheat flour paneer tikka pizza to replace the regular pizza.
Baked samosa was another experiment for me and I set about it with ready made pastry sheets which I had purchased a few days back. They were pretty easy to make and tasted great minus the excess oil 🙂
