Chicken Cutlets are simple and delicious chicken patties which are perfect as an appetizer or a lunch box snack.
Here is the step by step recipe for Chicken Cutlets with pictures:
Makes: 15 cutlets
Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Cooking Time: 30 minutes
Ingredients:
Chicken: 500 gm breast pieces
Curd: 3 tbsp
Onion: 1 medium finely chopped
Green chilies: 2 finely chopped
Ginger: 1 tbsp grated
Coriander: 1/4 cup chopped
Chili Powder: 1.5 tsp
Garam Masala: 2 tsp
Turmeric Powder: 1/2 tsp
Bread Crumbs: 1 and 1/2 cup
Egg: 1
Salt: to taste
Method of Preparation:
- Cut chicken into small pieces. Apply curd and salt to the chicken and mix well. Place the chicken in a pan and close the lid. Let the chicken cook completely. Do not add any extra water here.
- Once chicken is cooked, drain the excess water. In a food processor, process the chicken finely.
- To the chicken, add onion, green chilies, ginger, coriander, chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, 1/2 cup bread crumbs and salt. Mix well.
- Divide the mixture into 15 portions and shape into cutlets..
- Beat the egg in a bowl and in another plate, put the remaining bread crumbs.
- Dip each cutlet in the egg mixture and then roll it in the bread crumbs
- Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the cutlets till golden brown on all sides.
