Creamy tomato pasta is an easy to make pasta recipe which uses simple ingredients which are readily available in the kitchen. In this recipe, pasta is tossed in a creamy tomato sauce and the parmesan added to it gives it an awesome taste.
My daughter has always been a big fan of Mac and Cheese. After several years of refusing to try any other pasta preparation apart from Mac n Cheese, one fine day she developed a liking for Pesto Pasta. And now recently, this creamy tomato pasta has been her favorite. It is one of my favorite pasta preparations too.
Here is the step by step recipe with pictures:
Serves: 5-6 waffles
Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 15 minutes
Ingredients:
Pasta: 1 and 1/2 cup
Tomato Puree: 1/4 cup
Onion: 1 big finely chopped
Tomatoes: 2 medium finely chopped
Garlic: 3-4 cloves finely chopped
Pepper: 1-2 tsp
Salt: to taste:
Cream: 1/4 cup
Mozzarella Cheese: 1/4 cup
Parmesan Cheese: 1/2 cup
Butter: 1 tbsp
Method of Preparation:
- Boil the pasta in sufficient water with a little salt and 1 tsp oil. Let boil till cooked. Drain and keep aside.
- In a kadai, heat the butter. Add the onion and garlic and stir fry till translucent.
- Add the tomatoes and add a little salt and stir fry. Let cook till soft.
- Add tomato puree, cream and pepper and mix well. Let cook on low heat and boil.
- Add the cooked pasta and give it a good mix.
- Add mozzarella cheese and parmesan cheese and mix well. Your creamy tomato pasta is ready to serve.
