Dahi Gobhi is a delicious curry in which cauliflower is cooked in a curd base along with spices. It is very easy to make and gets ready quickly. Dahi Gobhi is currently my favorite preparation of Gobhi to go with rotis or rice.
Here is the step by step recipe for Dahi Gobhi with pictures:
Serves: 3
Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Cooking Time: 20 minutes
Ingredients:
Cauliflower (Gobhi): Small Gobhi cut into florets
Onion: 2 medium
Ginger: 1/2 inch piece
Garlic: 3 cloves
Tomatoes: 2 medium finely chopped
Yogurt: 1/2 cup
Green Chilly: 1
Coriander Powder: 1/4 tsp
Cumin Powder: 1/4 tsp
Turmeric Powder: 1/4 tsp
Chili Powder: 1/2 tsp
Garam masala: 1/4 tsp
Oil: 1/4 cup
Coriander: 2 tbsp finely chopped
Salt: to taste
Method of Preparation:
- Grind onions, green chilly, ginger and garlic into a paste.
- Heat oil in a pan. Stir fry the onion paste till brown.
- Add tomatoes and curd and stir fry till oil separates.
- Add turmeric powder, chili powder, garam masala, cumin powder, coriander powder and salt. Stir well.
- Add cauliflower florets. Close lid and let cook till cauliflower is cooked.
- Garnish with coriander.
