- Semolina: 1 cup
- Milk: 1 cup
- Water: 1 cup
- Sugar: ¾ cup
- Ghee: 4-5 tsp
- Cashew Nuts: 5-6 (optional)
- Almonds: 4-5 (optional)
- Raisins: 5-6 (optional)
- Banana: 1 cut into small pieces (optional)
- Cardamom Powder: ¼ tsp
- Saffron: A few strands
- Salt: to taste
- Mix milk and water together and heat it. Take around 2 tbsp of this milk and add saffron to it. Keep aside,
- Heat the ghee in a pan, add semolina and stir fry the semolina till slightly brown.
- Add sugar and salt and give it a good mix.
- Add the milk-water and saffron mixture from step 1 to the semolina and mix well.
- Stir continuously till it becomes thick.
- Add cashew nuts, almonds and raisins. You can also add a chopped banana to the Sheera.
