Sesame Bread Fingers

Sesame Bread fingers is an excellent snack or appetizer; a vegetable mixture is smeared on bread, topped with sesame seeds and shallow fried.
Ingredients
  • Onions: 1 cup finely chopped
  • Capsicum: 1 cup finely chopped
  • Potatoes: 1.5 cups boiled and mashed
  • Garlic: 4-5 finely choppd
  • Carrot: 1 cup grated
  • Soya Sauce: 2 tsp
  • Chili Powder: 2 tsp
  • Bread slices: 11
  • Maida: ½ cup dissolved in ¾ cup water
  • Sesame seeds: ¼ cup
  • Salt: to taste
Instructions
  1. Heat a little oil in a pan and stir fry the onion till translucent. Add garlic and stir fry briefly.
  2. Add capsicum and stir fry for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Add carrot and stir fry for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Add potatoes, soya sauce, chili powder and salt and mix well. Stir fry continuously for 2-3 minutes. Let cool.
  5. Take a slice of bread and spread a little vegetable mixture on top of it evenly.
  6. Apply a little maida water paste on top of it and sprinkle sesame seeds on it.
  7. Heat a little oil in a pan and shallow fry on both sides till brown. Cut into 3 pieces.
  8. Repeat for all other slices.
