Goan Prawn Curry

- Scraped coconut: 1 cup
- Peppercorn: 4-5
- Coriander seeds: ¼ tsp
- Tamarind: A marble sized ball
- Onion: 1 small finely chopped
- Turmeric powder: 1 tsp
- Dry red chilies: 4 small
- Chili Powder: 1 tsp
- Salt: to taste
- Prawns: 1 cup small
- Radish: 1 cut into small pieces
- Apply 1 tsp Chilli powder, ½ tsp turmeric powder and salt to the prawns and keep aside.
- Grind together the scrapped coconut, peppercorn, coriander seeds, dry red chilies and tamarind with around ¾-1 cup water to form smooth paste.
- Heat around ¾ cup of water in a pan and add onion and radish pieces to it. Close lid and let cook.
- Once radish is cooked, add prawns to it. Close lid and let simmer till prawns are cooked.
- Add the ground mixture (step 2), ½ tsp turmeric powder and salt and around 1 cup water. Close lid and let simmer for 2-3 minutes.
You can add more water if the curry seems too thick.
You can add more chili powder if you like the curry spicier
