Honey Pepper Chicken is a chicken starter recipe which is easy to make and tasty at the same time. It combines chicken and capsicum in a delicious dressing made of honey, olive oil, lemon juice and pepper – a delicious combination.
Here is the step by step recipe for the honey pepper chicken:
Serves: 2
Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 15 minutes
Ingredients:
Chicken Strips : 2 cup
Pepper Powder : 1.5 tsp + 1 tsp
Garlic : 3 tbsp grated
Honey : 4 tbsp
Capsicum : 1 cup (cut lengthwise)
Oil : 4 tbsp (for frying)
Olive Oil : 2 tbsp
Lime juice : 2 tsp
Salt : as per taste
Method of Preparation:
- Apply the grated garlic, 1.5 tsp pepper powder and salt evenly to chicken strips and leave it aside for marination for at least 1.5 hours.
- Heat oil in a pan and place the marinated chicken strips. Once one side appears white, turn them over carefully so that they are cooked uniformly.
- In the meanwhile, add honey, olive oil, lime juice and 1 tsp pepper powder to a large bowl and mix well.
- Once the chicken pieces are cooked well, remove from pan and put in the bowl mentioned in step 3. Mix gently to coat the chicken pieces uniformly with honey lemon mix.
- In the same pan used for frying chicken, lightly fry the capsicum. Spread the capsicum over the chicken pieces and serve.
