Spinach is a super food loaded with tons of nutrients. No wonder Popeye the sailor man (the cartoon fictional character) gets superhuman powers on eating it :). Even if we keep aside the fiction, Spinach (Palak) is packed with iron, vitamins and minerals and is extremely beneficial for good health.
Not many people like spinach but I have been lucky that my family loves it 🙂 So I keep experimenting a lot with different palak recipes. I believe Palak and Chicken make an amazing combo and the number of recipes I have tried combining the two proves the point – Chicken Saagwala, Murg Palak Ke Korme, Chicken and Spinach stuffed buns and Creamy chicken Lasagne with Spinach to name a few.
This particular recipe is for Mutter Palak – one of my favorite vegetarian gravies. Apart from spinach, this recipe uses mutter (green peas) which my toddler loves. So this gravy is a super-hit in my house.
