Paneer Capsicum Masala combines the delightful combination of paneer and capsicum into a mouth watering side dish.
A few days back, I was scanning through my recipe book (yes, there was a time I maintained a recipe book in which I would note down any interesting recipes that I would come across). I came across a paneer recipe which I had noted down back then. I do not remember the source, but I thought of trying it with my own modifications. Hence came up this recipe of Paneer Capsicum Masala. It turned out great.
Here is the step by step Paneer Capsicum Masala recipe with pictures:
Serves: 3-4
Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 20 minutes
Ingredients:
Paneer: 1 and 1/2 cup paneer cubes
Capsicum: 1 chopped
Onion: 1 medium chopped
Tomato: 1 and 1/2
Chili Powder: 1/2 tsp
Coriander Powder: 1/2 tsp
Ginger Paste: 1/2 tsp
Garlic Paste: 1/2 tsp
Coriander seeds: 1 tsp
Dry red chilly: 1
Salt: to taste
Method of Preparation:
- Dry roast the coriander seeds and red chilly. Grind it along with 1 tomato to fine paste.
- Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan. Add ginger and garlic paste and onions. Saute till onion is translucent.
- Add 1/2 tomato and saute.
- Add tomato puree, chili powder, coriander powder and salt and mix well.
- Add capsicum and paneer. Add 1/4 cup water and allow it to boil and thicken.
- Garnish with coriander.

- Salt: to taste
