Prawn Pickle – a must try for pickle and seafood lovers. It is an excellent accompaniment in a non veg meal and has always been one of my favorites.
My mom is an awesome cook. Anyone who has tasted her food will agree with that. I have learnt all the Goan Cuisine from her and most of the Goan recipes on this blog are her recipes. This Prawn pickle recipe is also hers. This is the simpler way to do it with ready made Pickle Masala (I use Eastern brand). I will soon also post the prawn pickle recipe in which the pickle masala is also made at home. (I already have posted cauliflower pickle in which the pickle masala is made at home)
I am not a fan of pickles in general, but Prawn Pickle is something which I just cannot resist.
Here is the Prawn Pickle recipe:
Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Cooking Time: 5 minutes
Serves: 4-5
Ingredients:
Prawns: 1 cup small
Salt: to taste
Pickle Masala (Eastern): 2 tbsp
Turmeric Powder: 1/2 tsp
Lemon: 1
Oil: 2 tbsp
Method of Preparation:
- Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan and stir fry the prawns till soft.
- Add turmeric powder and mix well.
- Add pickle masala, salt and lemon and mix well.
- Add 1 tbsp oil and mix well.
Your Prawn Pickle is ready. Yes, it is that simple!
