This post is for another yummy prawn appetizer. If you want to eat something different, you should definitely give this a try!
Serves: 3-4
Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Cooking Time: 30 minutes
Ingredients:
Snake Gourd (Parval): 20 pieces of length 2-3 inches
Semolina: for frying
Turmeric Powder: 1 tsp
Chili Powder: 1 tsp
Salt: to taste
Oil: For frying
For Stuffing
Scrapped Coconut: 3-4 tsp
Kokum(Solan): 3
Onion: 1 small finely chopped
Turmeric Powder: 1/2 tsp
Chili Powder: 1/2 tsp
Garam Masala: 1/2 tsp
Green Chilly: 1 slit vertically
Salt: 1 tsp
Prawns: 1 cup small
Potato: 1 small chopped into small pieces
Coriander: 2 tbsp finely chopped
Method of Preparation:
For Stuffing
- Mix all ingredients for stuffing together and place in a pan with little water.
- Close lid and let cook till potato and prawns are completely cooked.
- Separate the green chilly and kokum and keep aside the stuffing.
To make the Stuffed Parval
- Place the peeled and deseeded Parval pieces in a pan with a little salted water. Close lid and let cook till Parval is cooked. Keep aside and let cool.
- Take a piece of Parval and stuff it with the prawn stuffing. Repeat for all the other parval pieces.
- In a plate, mix together chili powder, turmeric powder with semolina. Dip each piece of Parval in the semolina.
- In a flat frying pan, heat oil. Shallow fry the parval till brown on all sides.
