Prawns Dangar is the Goan version of Prawns cutlets which is very easy to make and uses very simple ingredients. It serves as a great appetizer or can also be served as a part of the main course.
Prawns Dangar has always been a hit whenever I have made it at parties.
Here is the step by step recipe of Prawns Dangar with pictures:
Makes: 20-25 Dangars
Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 10 minutes
Ingredients:
Semolina: 1 cup
Prawns: 2 cup small
Scrapped Coconut: 1/4 cup
Onion: 1 large finely chopped (around 1 cup)
Coriander: 2 tbsp finely chopped
Chili Powder: 2 and 1/2 tsp
Turmeric Powder: 1 tsp
Garam Masala: 1/2 tsp
Water: 1/4 to 1/2 cup
Salt: to taste
Method of Preparation:
- Mix all the ingredients mentioned above to make thick mixture.
- Divide the mixture into small parts.
- Take each part and flatten it using your palm.
- Heat oil in a flat frying pan and shallow fry the dangar till golden brown on both sides.
Note: If the size of the Prawns is big, then cut it into small pieces.
