Pudina Chutney or Mint Chutney is very commonly served with most chats like Ragda Pattice, samosa chat, kacchi dabeli etc. It also tastes very good with sandwiches.
Mint (Pudina in hindi) leaves are packed with nutrients such as calcium, phosphorous, vitamin C, D and E. All these nutrients and vitamins put together help in boosting the body’s immune system.
Mint has a very strong and refreshing aroma which goes very well with drinks like Mint Lemonade and Pineapple Mint Juice. In addition, mint can also bring about an awesome flavor in curries or rice dishes like Chicken Curry with Curry Leaves, Green Peas and Mint Pulao.
Mint can also be used in making different chutneys. One of the mint or pudina chutneys I make is mint yogurt chutney which is generally served with kebabs and tikkis. Another chutney I make is simple pudina chutney which uses a mix of pudina and coriander and is generally served with chats. It is very easy to make and takes hardly 5-10 minutes.
