Goan Rava fish fry is a very simple and delicious preparation of fish which forms a very important part of a Goan meal. The fish marinated in some simple spices is coated with rava (semolina) and shallow fried till golden brown on all sides. The semolina gives a crispy outer coating to the succulent fish.
As I had mentioned in one of my other posts, a typical Goan meal usually consists of rice eaten with fish curry/kadi/uddamethi and accompanied by other Goan specialities like fried fish, kismoor, tonak, balchaon, Prawns Sukhe, Dangar to name a few. You will see rava fish fry in any fish thali in restaurants in Goa. And believe me, it is one of the easiest Goan dishes you can make at home. Just follow this simple recipe and your delicious rava fish fy will be ready to relish 🙂
I have used Kingfish in this recipe. Instead of Kingfish, you can also use any other fish like Pompret, Lady Fish or even Prawns, Crabs.
