Whole wheat chocolate pancakes – yummy pancakes with a healthy twist. This recipe of chocolate pancakes uses whole wheat flour instead of all purpose flour which is generally used for pancakes, hence making it really healthy.
A few days back I was thinking of what snack to make for my 4 year old who has suddenly turned into a very picky eater. I thought of making whole wheat pancakes, but she seems really bored of eating the same stuff nowadays. The one thing I can make her eat without fussing is chocolates and for obvious reasons, I wouldn’t want to give her a lot of them. Suddenly, an idea struck me and I thought of giving a chocolaty twist to the pancakes. I followed the same recipe which I follow for whole wheat pancakes but gave it a chocolate flavor and made chocolate pancakes.
This recipe of whole wheat chocolate pancakes uses whole wheat flour, yogurt, milk and egg and hence is quite healthy. And since it has a chocolate flavor, it is very yummy too for little ones.
I have made it several times now and the way I like it the best is by layering it with whipped cream and sliced bananas.
